John Ward – I started out many years ago as a telecom’s engineer before moving into IT, where I've spent the last 25 years. I have worked (in IT) as an analyst programmer, knowledge engineer, project manager and programme manager and various other roles. I was introduced to RAD and DSDM in the 1990's and have continuously used these techniques since. I particularly like the emphasis on people and delivering real business benefits. During this time I feel fortunate to have enjoyed nearly all the projects that I've worked with. I currently work in the area of Mergers and Acquisitions which is both interesting and challenging. My personal philosophy is to achieve through people, which forces you to adapt and change yourself - win win. In my younger days I was a keen rugby player, where I played in the backs, so I find some humour in becoming a scrum master. I still follow the sport, but mainly from the armchair these days. Finally I am a member of the British Computer Society; hold a masters degree in IT and Management; and am a Chartered Information Technology Professional.
