Steve Moffett recently joined DSW as Vice President of Solutions Delivery for the Brand Technology Services organization. DSW is a U.S. specialty branded footwear retailer with locations in 37 states. He has a wealth of experience in a number of different corporate and technological environments throughout his IT career.

From his vast experience in the industry, and as the former head of QA/Process improvement for a large public company, Steve is able to clearly see the advantages provided by Agile/Scrum methodology. As a former executive with Intuit Inc., Steve led the Consumer Tax Group in this exact direction. Intuit is a leading provider of business and financial management solutions for small and mid-sized businesses, financial institutions, consumers and accounting professionals. Flagship products and services include QuickBooks, Quicken, and TurboTax software.

Prior to joining Intuit, Steve worked with the parent company of NASDAQ, Citicorp, and numerous other groups in software process improvement based upon the teachings of Dr. Deming and Carnegie Mellon’s Software Engineering Institute (SEI). Steve was the first person authorized by SEI to train and evaluate teams of SEI qualified assessors to evaluate and help improve software development organizations and teams.

Steve also served in the Air Force as a combat A-10 pilot, in Desert Shield/Storm, and led the introduction of software process improvement across the United States Air Force.
