Jeanette M. Pigeon, a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and Certified Business Analysis Professional™ (CBAP®), is Principal Consultant of aBetterBA™. Jeanette founded aBetterBA™ in 2010 based on her belief that the study and practiceof business analysis should be efficient and effective. Jeanette helps organizations improve business analysis practices by aligning those practices to needs, identifying gaps between needs and actual practices, then develops a custom and targeted approach to remove gaps and quickly improve business analysis practices to reduce costs and increase quality.

Jeanette also works as a system integration and implementation specialist of Windows® and web applications for the City o fLong Beach, integrating Windows and web applications with legacy and 3rd party applications for enterprise wide system integration.  She also teaches Business Analyst Certificate Program courses for UCI Extended Education and serves as an Advisory Board member for the UCI Extension BA certificate program. Jeanette recently helped revise the UCI Business Analyst program course curriculum to align with IIBA® BABOK® v2.0, and created and published the first BABOK study group materials based on BABOK® v 2.0.  These materials are now available to all IIBA® chapters and have been translated in to several languages. In addition to her CSPO and CBAP® certifications, Jeanette has a Masters of Information Systems Management and has taught business analysis, system analysis, programming logic andproject management to adult learners for the past 12 years.   

An avid outdoor enthusiast, when Jeanette isn’t working she enjoys standup paddle board, surfing,kayaking, hiking and cycling.
