ScrumMaster at Netpioneer GmbH

I am currently working as ScrumMaster at Netpioneer GmbH, an IT service provider. My title "Senior ScrumMaster / Fachlicher Leiter ScrumMaster" translates to about "Senior ScrumMaster / functional lead ScrumMaster". I coach other ScrumMasters in the company and acts as an internal ScrumCoach for some of my time. I am also at Customers. Since August 2012 I am ScrumMaster in a team at the "Frankfurter Allgemeine" (www.faz.net). It is a joint team between the customer and Netpioneer GmbH. My line manager is Marcel Fuhlmann. I have had some Coaching through mrs. Steffi Krause from GoAgile, and among other things participate in the "Scrum Tisch" a scrum user group hosted by CST Dr. Jürgen Hoffmann.

I started out as pure scrum master, and accepted additional responsibilities as a Systems Architect in January 2011. In reality I was at least 95% ScrumMaster and at most 5% Architect due to the needs at the company. In December 2010 it became very clear that the surrounding conditions made it very hard to use pure scrum, I introduced Kanban into the company. It was a much better fit under the circumstances. We did much maintenance. When we did have actual projects, we did Scrum. I called myself ScrumMaster whether I worked with the people "in Kanban" or "in Project". My line manager was CTO Kai Bleek. The Scrum Master vacancy was filled by Armin Schubert.
Developer, Architect, Scrum Master, at WebGuidePartner

Starting out as a developer in the company 2005. Scrum was introduced into the company 2007. I was part of a scrum team, occasionally Scrum Master. Did not receive training, focused on development and architecture during 2007. As of 2008 I had more active interest in Scrum. The company was supported by Crisp mainly through Hans Brattberg. I took part in his coachings. Jeff Sutherland held a special training day (no official certification training though) in 2009. 2009 I was appointed Technical lead of the architects and had a leading role for a migration project. The architects formed a Team, for which I filled the role as ScrumMaster. The team consisted of 5 Architects (including me) and we had our Chief Architect (Thomas Atterbom) as Product Owner. We set the cadences to 4 weeks sprint lengths. The other architects were assigned 50% to our 4 development teams, and 50% to the architecture team (where we developed components to be used by all teams). I was active in this role until I moved on to another country and company.
