David Harris.
State Government - 1987-1997. Lived the system lifecycle (waterfall style) developing applications and interchanging data in the Justice space. Development, enhancement, maintenance, business analysis, technical specification, BPR. First foray into the 'agile' arena via Rapid Application Development (RAD) techniques in 1995/6.
DMR / Fujitsu - 1998-2004. Moved to private industry with DMR (now Fujitsu). Project Management and Business Analysis for development / enhancement projects - Justice, Telecommunications, Utilities, Primary Industry. Second foray into 'agile' with 'Time-boxing' approach in 2003/4 and liked it.
EDS - 2004-now. Moved to EDS. Project Management for development / enhancement projects and Project Management consulting. Justice, Education, Utilities, whole-of-state Government projects. Third foray into 'agile' space was in 2006, again with 'Time-boxing' approach and liked it again.
Trained in SCRUM technique November 2007. Hoping to be 'unleashed' to use it sometime in the near future!
Life outside of IT
Involves two young children, wife with a lolly shop, tennis and music.
