Derrek Wood is an experienced manager with operational experience in an array of companies.  His past opportunities include Research & Development houses, entertainment (gaming), computer accessory, retail and social media/web 2.0 industries.  He has solid knowledge of both software development practices and operational management practices in the IT industry.  He is currently working towards both his PMP and Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP) certifications.  

In his most recent position, Derrek Wood applied his leadership and management skills as Scrum Master and Product Manager at a fast-paced SME.  He led a number of teams through the research and development of new technologies, as well as creating and driving the business plans and market strategies for the associated products.
