Through training and coaching I help organizations design collaborative systems.  The effectiveness of my work is a result of practice spanning over two decades in technological and interpersonal disciplines.  I believe that training is good for getting across all of the initial concepts, while the full impact on the learners is usually felt days later.  Coaching allows me to catch real-time learning moments, leading to faster absorption of a concept.  I feel there’s always room for improvement, and pairing with others helps me improve my skills while increasing the benefit to the customer.  Working closely with individuals and teams I gain the intuition and sympathy necessary to sense when a situation is arising that requires attention.  When not at work, he enjoys the outdoors; hiking or skiing in the backcountry with his wife Erica Young.
