Ralph van Roosmalen, was born on 23 November 1974, graduated at the academy of Software Engineering in Den Bosch, the Netherlands.

His experience of working in the software industry dates back to 1997, when Ralph started as a software developer in a classical waterfall project. After a few years, he switched to being a project manager in a classical waterfall project.

Since 2002, he has been working for Planon, where he currently is CSM and Test manager (ISTQB Advanced Certificate).

Planon develops a standard application solution for Facility - and Real Estate Management, and has used Scrum since 2005. Planon Development features several scrum teams; each team consists of a business analyst, developers, testers, and a technical writer.

Because of his experience as a developer, his knowledge of testing and of Scrum, Ralph can bridge the gap between the standard waterfall test approach and the agile software development process.

Ralph wrote an article for the Agile Alliance Magazine, spoke at TestNet, a Dutch Congress on Testing, and at a Software & Systems Quality Conference in Düsseldorf, Germany. This year, 2007, he will speak at the Scrum Gathering in London, UK on the subject of Scrum and Testing and on Planon's experiences with this matter.
