Jon Soldan has spent the majority of his career in the IT sector focusing on project management and process improvement. He is currently working as the Project Management Office (PMO) director at a leading marketing and professional services company. Prior to his current role, Jon spent some time in full-time academic work as the director of the Information Systems programs at the University of Utah, where he increased student satisfaction by 100%, enrollment by 70%, and web traffic by 70% within his first semester as director. He still works part-time at the U of U as an assistant professor (lecturer) within the Operations and Information Systems department at the David Eccles School of Business teaching graduate courses in Project Management and Systems Analysis and Design.
His areas of focus and expertise include: project management, IT service management, systems analysis and design, and business process management.
Mr. Soldan holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Utah, Master's degree in Information Systems from the University of Utah, and is currently pursuing an MBA from Utah State University. He is also a Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), ITIL v3 certified, and certified in Information Mapping (creating policy/procedural documentation).
