EXPERIENCE

NALCO COMPANY, August 1993 to present

Currently serving as the Director of Training, Water and Process Service (June 2010 to present); responsible for curricula development and the strategic training plan for Nalco’s Water and Process Services Division (6000 employees) globally.

Previous positions include Global Marketing Manager, Institutional and Hygiene Services, Naperville, IL; responsible for Global Institutional and Hygiene service strategy in Nalco’s four primary regions – North America, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and EAME (Europe, Africa, and Middle East). Directly managed 7 Marketers and 2 District Managers that led an 18 person hygiene direct sales force. Directly responsible for $20MM in Hygiene sales with Marketing Responsibility for the $214MM Institutional business unit.

Sales and sales management positions include Regional Sales Manager, Institutional Region, District Manager, Capital District, Washington DC, and Sales Representative, Water and Waste Treatment Division, San Diego, CA. Sales career included consultative sales in water and waste treatment to industrial customers. As Regional Sales Manager led 8 District Managers and 80 sales representatives in major metropolitan areas of the United States and Caribbean Islands. Managed total sales of $80MM. As a District Manager in the Washington DC and surrounding area managed 10 field sales reps and 4 technical reps with territory sales of approximately $8MM. Provide technical support and account leadership to high profile customers including the IRS, CIA, American University and the Smithsonian Institution. District achieved 4 consecutive years of double-digit sales growth.

UNITED STATES NAVY, Lieutenant, 1986 to August 1993

Surface Warfare Officer serving on the USS O'Brien DD-975 (San Diego) as the Combat Information Center Officer and Damage Control Assistant. Responsible for firefighting and damage control training for a crew of 320 officers and enlisted men. Stood watches over shipboard gas turbine propulsion and power generation plant.  Also, completed a shore tour at the Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Training Center Pacific (San Diego) serving as the Course Coordinator/Lead Instructor, Anti-Submarine Warfare Evaluator Course.
