Pierre Paul Provost’s bio
In 1996 Mr. Provost graduated from Université de Montréal (Hautes Études Commerciales / HEC) with a Bachelor in Corporate Management (1996). Its B.A.A is composed of a Certificate in Marketing (1996), a Certificate in Computer Management (1993) and a Certificate in Management (1991)
In October 2010 he became member to the Project Management Institute (PMI) to follow a PMP certification which is in progress. Also in October 2010, he became a Certified Scrum Master - CSM from the Scrum Alliance Organization.
The organization’s core mission was to develop solutions for enhancing aviation safety and for reducing production costs by building software applications creating synergies among different partners of civil and military aviation authorities. Infolution counted around 20 people from various backgrounds like engineers, geo-mathematician, aviation specialist etc. Infolution was internationally known for its Instrument Procedure Design software applications. In July 2010 the company was sold to IDS. During its last year, he implemented the AGILE with SCRUM management method within Infolution.
He has been able to learn about different governmental, public and private structures. Having traveling around the world many times, he met with people from different cultures with very diverse challenges (ex. USA-FAA vs. Africa or Salvador, Singapore vs. France.). He understands the issues that each is facing particularly when developing or implementing software applications. He helped boost Infolution’s international renown by introducing its products among such prestigious clients as NAV CANADA, FAA, Boeing and numerous civil aviation authorities of several countries (e.g. France, Switzerland, Italy, Singapore, Japan and Korea, etc.). In 2002, he negotiated the first worldwide partnership between ICAO and a private electronics product distributor (Infolution).
Mr. Provost’s aeronautical background includes also a valid commercial pilot license with a twin-engine IFR rating. He is certified as an instrument flight procedure designer according to Transport Canada, FAA and ICAO standards. As a Transport Canada Aviation employee, he introduced innovation by creating a new international standard that received recognition from the Deputy Minister of Transportation.
Mr. Provost believes in the principle to forge synergies with the various stakeholders involved in Information Technologies, in the attempt to increase customer’s satisfaction and efficiency, while cutting operational costs. Simple is beautiful with efficient communication.
