Melanie Silver has worked at State Farm since 1987, been a Project Manager since 1999, and a Certified Scrum Master since 2005. She is currently involved in introducing Scrum to State Farm and working as a Delivery Lead at the Program level. She is introducing Scrum and agile techniques at the program level and is the Scrum Coach for the area.

Though the topic was debated during the Gathering, the participants, including the author, Pooja Gupta, Stefan Ahrensdorf, and Dennis Luhn, felt more research was needed.
