John Puopolo is an accomplished software industry executive. He has successfully delivered commercial systems to the enterprise, consumer and wireless marketplaces. John came up through the ranks as a software engineer and architect, and cut his teeth in management and leadership in a variety of Boston area start-up companies. He is currently Vice President, Engineering, at Tele Atlas, a leading, global provider of digital map data ($350M annual revenue). At Tele Atlas, John and his teams use Scrum.

John sits on the Technology Advisory boards of Mobot and Proxpro, two start-up companies he helped get off the ground. In addition to his leadership work, John is the author of Writing OLE Controls (Prentice Hall), and is a co-author of the patent Mobile Query System Based on Visual Cues.

John lives with his wife Jill and their three daughters, Jessica, Kimberly and Melissa, in a suburb of Boston.
