My name is Utpal Vaishnav and I’m passionate about building software applications using Scrum. 

In over a decade of experience in the global software industry, I have played different roles such as an Analyst Programmer, Solutions Architect, Project Manager and Business Unit Head. 

I had an encounter with agile frameworks five years ago that eventually let me to Scrum. I have played all the three roles in one or the another Scrum project. Scrum Team Member, Scrum Master and Product Owner.

While Command and Control is the management 1.0 sweetheart, I have always believed in nurturing self-organized teams who lead beyond their titles. Focusing more on people than on processes, inspect and adapt, deliver early; deliver often and operate with complete ownership are the factors I have been enjoying being a member of Scrum teams.

In 2012, I  founded ScrumZen.com, a minimalist web asset where I share the lessons I and my fellow practitioners have learned about Agile and Scrum. 

ScrumZen is about sharing the lessons that I and my fellow learners have learned about Scrum and how to use it more effectively to produce results that matter. It covers scrum tips of different varieties including how to leverage scrum for life-betterment and a lot more.
