The two newest members of the Scrum Alliance Board of Directors are Scott Duncan and Mitch Lacey. Nearly 5,000 votes were cast over 14 days. Each voter was asked to select two individuals, one for each newly created seat. In the end, the vote was very close: 41% of you chose Scott Duncan, 40.7% voted for Mitch Lacey. The other candidates finished just behind the leaders.

For the remainder of 2010, the Scrum Alliance board members are as follows:

Tom Mellor, chair

Dan Hintz, treasurer

Mike Cohn

Scott Duncan

Steve Fram

Mitch Lacey

Michele Sliger

Harvey Wheaton

Scott Duncan, with the highest number of votes, will serve the longer of the two terms. Mitch Lacey's term will end in 2011; Duncan's in 2012. Lacey's seat will once again be filled by election in 2011. Additionally, one of the existing board members will step down in 2011, thereby reducing the total number of board members to the seven stipulated by the bylaws.

The Scrum Alliance would like to thank the nominating committee for their diligence in choosing such a competitive slate of candidates.
