New CST Application
Process Update

Last month, we told you about the new CST application process. Here’s an update on the process.

 • The new CST application process will go live on June 1st (to read the process, click here)
 • Bob Hartman has already completed the process and been accepted, and there are four applicants pending
 • All CST licenses expire on December 31st, 2010. From this date the licenses will be extended on a quarterly basis until renewal is complete. Renewal applications will be staggered to allow each renewal to be carefully considered. Each trainer will be given a three month period in which to complete the renewal application.

Welcome our New CSCs!

Join us in congratulating our newest Certified Scrum Coaches:

  • Daniel LeFebvre
  • Daniel Teng

Want to Be a Member of the Scrum Alliance Board of Directors?

This year, for the first time, two Scrum Alliance Community Members will join the Scrum Alliance Board of Directors.

There is still time to apply, but you must hurry! Interested Scrum Alliance members should send an e-mail to Board Chair Harvey Wheaton stating that they would like to be slated for consideration by the nominating committee.

If you would like to read more about the process please visit section 3.5 and section 5.2 of the new bylaws.

First Hispanic Organization Designated as Scrum Alliance REP

The Scrum Alliance REP program is in full swing. So far, we've certified six organizations, and we're pleased to announced the first Hispanic organization to be certified, Kleer. Kleer joins other REPs, APSE, Rally Software, RippleRock, ScrumCenter, and Richard Chet Hendrickson.

The new Scrum Alliance Registered Education Provider (REP) program provides organizations an affiliation with and endorsement by the Scrum Alliance. It also gives these organizations access to course advertisement services on the Scrum Alliance website.

The Post-it, Revisited

A while ago I wrote about my experiences with Scrum and a little helper I like to call “Posty the Post-it note.” Ok, so I don’t actually call it that, but I do use the Post-it extensively when I’m scrumming.

So how has the Post-it fared in the months following my article? I’ll briefly review what has and hasn’t been working and what we’ve been doing to improve our Post-it power.
