What: Real Life Agile - An Open Space event

 When: Thursday, April 28, 2011 from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM (PT)

Where: Irvine, CA

Hello Orange County Practicing Agilist!

Are you at least a step beyond learning about agile and is now attempting to apply that knowledge?

Have you found yourself sitting in the audience of an APLN meeting or an Agile SoCal meeting, and thought to yourself, "Okay, I see what the presenter is saying, but how do I get that to work at my company, or on my team?"

Then you this event is for you.

Bring your questions to ask, and your experiences to share.

What does "Open Space" mean? In a nutshell, it means we decide what the exact discussion topics will be at the last minute, according to who's in attendance and what their particular interests are at that moment. We'll seed the session planning, but you, as much as anyone, will determine how the discussions actually go. The goal is for everyone to gain as many practical and useful insights as possible during the time we have together.

What does "Real Life Agile" mean? This is merely a theme to set the scope of the open space discussions. It means, we want to talk about anything and everything to do with getting agile implemented in real situations -- beyond theory. Expect to be discussing topics like, scaling agile, being agile across distributed teams, getting management buy-in, which practices are the most important to implement first and why. Again, the exact topics will be determined just-in-time.
