Topic: When Will It Be Done? (When Scrum, Lean, and BDD meet in the Real World)
This talk provides a quasi-retrospective of adopting new practices of software development over time and the process. This talk provides “real” information from real adoptions. We’ll explore which ones provide the most insight into answering the first question Management asks…..”When will it be done?”
This presentation will include the following topics:
- How Scrum and Agile introduced flexibility
- How Lean introduced predictability and prioritization
- How BDD opened communication
- How Trust became an emergent behavior once the previous three obstacles were overcome.
- How off the shelf tools, such as Google Wave, have been used to facilitate and track coordination of a large offshore development team within a Lean Development Project.
There will be time for questions and discussion.
