Upstate New York Agile User Group (UNYAUG) is holding a FREE agile workshop and discussion forum on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 4:30 to 6:00 PM. Everyone is welcome!

Agenda
Bob Romph, from James Ryan Associates, Inc., will give a presentation on Kaizen and Kanban for the first 60 minutes.
After the presentation, we’ll have a 30-minute open forum where all attendees can have an opportunity to discuss several agile topics.

1.   How do I sign up?  Follow the steps below (“Steps for Joining”) to sign up… it’s easy.
2.   When do I need to RSVP?  October 28.  You can RSVP on our site.  See “Steps for Joining”) below.
3.   Are there PDUs?  You can receive PDUs for attending the workshop.
4.   Where is it?  Key, 17 Corporate Woods Blvd.  See (“Directions”) below.
5.   Do I have to participate in the workshop?  Only if you want to.  Participation is encouraged, but not necessary!
6.   What’s going to be covered in the workshop?  We’ll send out an agenda about 1 – 2 weeks prior to the date.  It’s geared for beginners who want to get their hands dirty! (beginners to experts welcome)

Steps for Joining our Web Site/Group and the NovemberEvent:
(Note:   Internet Explorer 6 users, you will not be able to use the web site.  Please email your RSVP to margo_d_acker@keybank.com or Sharon_L_Ray@KeyBank.com )
1.    Go to www.elegantagile.com and click on the “Join” button.  You will be directed to a registration page.
2.    Complete the registration form and click the “Join Now” button.
3.    After registering with the site, you can join the UNYAUG group page.
4.    To join the UNYAUG group page to get group communications, updates, event info and to collaborate;
o    Locate the top navigation bar (Account, Groups, Events, etc.).  Click on the “Groups” tab.  
o    On the Groups main page, click on the Group picture or Group link on the left-side of the screen titled “Upstate New York Agile User Group.”  
o    Once you are in the Group page titled “Upstate New York Agile User Group”, click the “Join” button on the right side of the page in the section titled “Actions.”  
o    After completing the above steps, you will be registered with both the web site and group.

Directions to the building:
§ From I-90 exit 5A -  at the 2nd light turn right to Building 17 (the KeyBank Branch is at this intersection).   Park in any of the lots.
§ From Albany Shaker Road  - at the 1st light (you will see the KeyBank Branch straight ahead) .  Go straight ahead to Building 17and park in any of the lots.  

Directions once inside the building:
§ Go in the front door to Security,  sign in with them and they will let you through the secure doors.   The meeting room is 169 on the first floor.
