コース概要

スクラムマスターの認定コースでは二日をかけて「スクラム」というプロダクト開発フレームワークの理論と実践を詳細に解析および紹介します。当コースは対話と事例から構成され、現スクラム利用者のみならず、スクラムの深い理解を取得したい方に適切です。スクラムマスターの視点を中心に指導しますが、チームメンバー、プロダクトオーナーまたはプロジェクトにかかわる経営者にも有益な研修内容です。二日間をかけて9時から18時の講習となります。初日は背景、概要、実測駆動プロセス制御、組織への影響やプロダクト開発手法においてスクラムの差別化などの理論について講習を行います。二日目はバックログ作成、プランニング、見積もり、デイリースクラム、大規模プロジェクト対策などの実装方法に関する質問や悩みに適する具体策を紹介します。当コースを完了すると受講者はスクラム実装に関する具体的知識を取得できます。当コースはスクラムの基礎知識をもちおよびスクラム経験を前提としますが、「 the Scrum Primer」という優れたスクラム紹介論文を読んでいただければ、研修内容を有効に使えます。

コースを完了する参加者全員はCertified ScrumMaster（略CSM・認定スクラムマスター)の資格を取得し、Scrum Allianceのサイト上、認定スクラムマスター一覧に登録されます。認定スクラムマスターとしてのライセンズ取得し、限定研修資料や一般公開されていない資料を利用出来ます。

講師について

Bas Vodde氏はオランダ出身ですが、中国やフィンランドなどに住む経験を持ち、現在シンガポールに滞在。９０年代オランダで開発者として勤め、資料や理論の語る「正しい」手法と現実の差に気づき始めた。この理論と現実の差を最初、XPの利用により現象を改良し、その後アジャイル開発手法でさらに改良。２００１年の始めに「平凡な人生」に飽き、中国に転移し、ノキア社に入社。ノキアでは大規模プロジェクトを主に勤める。通常の運営方法を身につけ、規模に関わらずアジャイル開発手法の優れた特性を確信した。数年後、ノキア・ネットワークスにアジャイル、特にスクラムを紹介するためにヘルシンキに転移。2年間をかけて、数十チームのスクラムやアジャイル手法の導入を支援した。寒さに絶えず再び中国へ行き、大規模プロジェクトのスクラム導入に貢献する。

主な興味はスクラムと大規模組織および大規模プロジェクトにおけるスクラム導入です。ほかに組み込みシステムのテスト駆動開発や常時インテグレーションなどの技法に興味を持ち、常にリファクターされているコードベースの柔軟性と迅速な適応性を確信し、日々開発も手がけています。現在、シンガポール所在のアジャイルとリーン開発コンサルティング会社、「Odd-e」に勤める。そのほかCraig Larman氏と「Scaling Agile and Lean Development: Thinking and Organizational Tools for Large-Scale Scrum」共同著作。

Emerson Mills氏アメリカ出身にもかかわらず、日本で就職し、スクラムの原点の「工場」から進化したSI事業者、スタートアップ、外資系大手企業のAmazon.comなどで開発者や技術主任として活躍し、現在、日本全国で活躍するスクラムの講師の他、Orinoco株式会社CTO、一般社団法人Japan Perl Association 理事に勤める。
小規模スクラムと開発者の権能に興味を持ち、流暢な日本語と豊かな開発経験を通じて英語圏と日本の技術コミュニティーの橋となる連携作りに心がけている。

About the Course

This two-day Certified Scrum Master course covers the what, how and especially the whys of the Scrum framework for product development -- from the theory to practice. The course is structured around stories and discussions and is targetted to anyone who wants a deep understanding of Scrum. This includes team members, ProductOwners, ScrumMasters and other stakeholders. Most of the course is given from the ScrumMasters perspective.

The course lasts 2 days from 9 to 18. The first days content is more conceptual. It covers background, overview, roles, emperical process control, and the key differences between Scrum and other ways of developing new products. It also contains common impacts to the larger organization. The second days content is practical and answers the how-to-do questions. How to do a backlog? How to plan? How to estimate? How to do a daily Scrum? How to scale? And so forth. At the end of the second day, the participant will have concrete knowledge on how to implement Scrum and an understanding of why to do it that way.

Basic knowledge about Scrum is expected and some experience prefered. At minimum read the great introduction to Scrum: the Scrum Primer

About Certification

All attendees who complete the course will become Certified ScrumMasters (CSMs), and will be listed on the Scrum Alliance website's CSM registry.

About the Instructors

Bas Vodde, originally from Holland, has lived in China and Finland. Currently he lives and works in Singapore. In Holland he was working as a developer and always felt a mismatch between the style of development he experienced as working and the style of development that "the official literature said you should do". This mismatch was solved when Extreme Programming was introduced and with the introduction of the Agile Manifesto.

In early 2001, he had enough of the "normal life" and moved to China and started working for Nokia. In Nokia, he worked on very large and traditional projects. This uncomfortable experience convinced him that Agile Development is the best way of developing software product -- no matter how large your development is. After a couple years, he moved to Helsinki with the purpose of introducing Agile Development (and in particular Scrum) in Nokia Networks (later NSN). He watched dozens of product groups adopt scrum and other agile practices. After a while, he moved back to China (Its too cold in Finland) and helped one large product group with its Scrum adoption.

Bas work for a small consulting company based in Singapore called Odd-e specializing in training and coaching related to agile and lean development in Asia.

Bas is interested in Scrum with a special focus on large companies and large product development. But he also enjoyed working on technical practices, especially test-driven development (especially in embedded environments) and continuous integration. He keeps working as a developer because he strongly believes you need a well-factored code base if you want to be fast and flexible. His hobbies are studies in lean production and quality management and, of course, programming.

Bas is the author of the "Scaling Agile and Lean Development: Thinking and Organizational Tools for Large-Scale Scrum" and of "Practices for Large-Scale Agile and Lean Development", both together with Craig Larman. He is also one of the authors of the CppUTest unit test framework for C/C++.
