Learn the essentials of working as a ScrumMaster or Scrum team member in this course. While the Scrum Alliance provides a list of core concepts that must be covered in the class, each instructor creates his or her own material, allowing courses to differ based on the strengths, interests, and experiences of the instructor. This course will be led by Joe Little. (We will have French speakers in the course, who can help with translation or questions.) Joe is an experienced Agile Coach and Scrum Trainer. He co-teaches regularly with Jeff Sutherland and other great Scrum trainers. He has a CSM, CSP, CST and an MBA.
Participants Will Learn:
In this course, we typically mix in XP and Lean ideas. Having worked recently with Jeff Sutherland, we mix in many of his ideas and stories. Having a business background and MBA, this course is perhaps somewhat more oriented toward Product Owners and business issues.
Additional Information:
This course has been taken by everyone connected to a Scrum Team. The CEO, COO and CFO of a company have attended and it has benefited the company. The future ScrumMaster, Product Owner, Team members, managers, and other stakeholders have attended. Everyone. With profit.
It is common for whole Teams (and related stakeholders) to take the course all at one time. This is very valuable. As you can tell by the title of the course, it was originally designed to teach people to become ScrumMasters. Sometimes one person can take the course, learn about Scrum, already have the basic skills of a ScrumMaster, and go back and implement Scrum quickly with success. (Greater investment generally leads to even better results.)
You will get useful knowledge about how and why Scrum works.
The course includes many interactive exercises and small-group discussions. These will prepare you to plan your first Sprint immediately after this class. This is a practical course.
PMPs: You can receive 16 Professional Development Units (PDUs) for this course. |
