Product Owners: Drivers of Organizational Change

Sorry, This Course is Sold Out

Danube approach to stakeholder education

Strong Product Ownership is key to successful Agile transformations. Our Product Owner Course gives stakeholders the knowledge of Scrum principles and practices they need to succeed in this new paradigm.

Our one-day Product Owner course provides an overview of management in Scrum with a particular focus on complex teams and organizations. In this course we will expand upon the Certified ScrumMaster curriculum and explain how Scrum roles typically manifest themselves in enterprise environments. Participants can expect to learn about establishing and maintaining a backlog and writing stories with clear acceptance criteria. We will also discuss real-world organizational challenges such as non-co location, managing large or multiple teams, release planning and metrics.

Course topics include:
  • Agile Product Owner Role
  • The Product Backlog (creation and management)
  • Writing Stories
  • Planning and Estimation
  • Working with the Customer
  • Creating Product Vision
  • Understanding Business Value
  • Models for scaling Agile across multiple teams

Food and refreshments are typically provided.

Cancellation & Refresh Policy

Full refunds are available up until 10 business days before the scheduled event date. Cancellations made within 10 business days of the event will be credited toward future events. However, no refunds will be issued. No refunds or credits will be available for "no-shows." Substitutions will be accepted at any time prior to commencement of the course.

As an added value to course participants, Danube reserves two seats at each of its public courses for individuals who have already taken a course from Danube, but would like to take it a second time. This allows participants to brush up on their Scrum basics or attend a session led by a different Certified Scrum Trainer. The offer is provided on a first-come, first-served basis and must be used for the same course as the original (i.e., an individual who completed a CSM course may enroll in another CSM course, but not a Product Owner course). In addition, this offer is only available within the first six months following the original course, so please contact Danube as early as possible to reserve your seat.
