Certified ScrumMaster
Certified ScrumMaster - 3 Day Extended Course
All CSM courses are taught by Certified Scrum Trainers. Taking a CSM course, passing the CSM test, and accepting the license agreement designates you as a Certified ScrumMaster, which indicates that you have been introduced to and understand the basic concepts you need to perform as a ScrumMaster or team member on a Scrum team. This course also satisfies two elements of the CSD track: Scrum Introduction and Elective.
Extended 3-Day ScrumMaster Certification Class for Agile Software Project Management
Course Description:
Agile methods promise early, continuous and accelerating return on investment for stakeholders and high degrees of job satisfaction for team members. These methods are particularly appropriate for creative projects including program development, materials development, new product development, and IT projects. In this three-day course, you will learn the foundational skills of agile project and process management. Participants who pass this course will receive the Certified ScrumMaster designation.
Agile project management is radically different from traditional project management. Rather than plan, instruct and direct, the agile project manager facilitates, coaches and serves. In the Scrum Agile practice this person is called a ScrumMaster.
In this course participants learn how to guide the development team, a project, or an organization into Agile practice by fostering the adoption of new attitudes, collaborative processes and working to remove institutional barriers. Exercises, case studies, and examples are used to assist participants to develop the knowledge, skills, capabilities and insights needed to make the shift from traditional management practice to Agile practice.
Preparation: Approximately one week prior to the course, detailed instructions and course materials will be made available to confirmed attendees.
An individual license to use the Scrum training materials will be issued to those who successfully complete the certification program.
Attendees can earn 24 PMI PDUs from this course.
