Certified ScrumMaster

All CSM courses are taught by Certified Scrum Trainers. Taking a CSM course, passing the CSM test, and accepting the license agreement designates you as a Certified ScrumMaster, which indicates that you have been introduced to and understand the basic concepts you need to perform as a ScrumMaster or team member on a Scrum team. This course also satisfies two elements of the CSD track: Scrum Introduction and Elective.

Learn by doing in this 2 day interactive class with Unicom. Early bird and group discounts available. This workshop is worth up to 14 PDUs (see below) through the Project Management Institute (PMI) for Project Managers working on maintaining their PMP® credential.
Who wants to snooze through 14 hours of PowerPoint?

Not all Certified ScrumMaster courses are created equal. With Unicom, you will participate in project simulations and game-based learning exercises, so you can learn by doing.

We are famous for our unique style of teaching through innovative games and simulations--in fact, the entire class is run using the tools and techniques you'll be studying, so you'll have completed an actual scrum project by the time you graduate. You'll also come away with a list of "Aha!" moments as long as your arm, all of which will be things you discovered yourself, while actually doing scrum.

Two Hours of Free Coaching Included
We want you to succeed, and we've found that the best way to help you do that is to follow up with a visit to where you live. So graduation entitles you to two hours of Unicom coach's time. You can use this for a personal coaching session, or if you're fired up and want to spread the love to the folks back home, we can come into your company and deliver a two-hour brown bag presentation on any number of topics.
More PDUs
Many of our students are members of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and are interested in claiming Professional Development Units (PDUs) or contact hours. When you combine the 14 hours of classroom instruction, you are eligible to receive a whopping 14 PDUs or contact hours, and we'll give you everything you need to claim them.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?
Relax, this is Unicom, not Dunder Mifflin or Initech. We'll be wearing jeans, and you can be, too.

What should I bring?
Just yourself. You don't need a laptop, although you are free to bring one.

When do we start and end each day?
The classroom opens at 8:30 AM each day and class will begin promptly at 9:00 AM. We will end at 5:00 PM each day.

Will there be food?
We'll be providing lunch, all-day beverages and snacks on both days. Vegetarian options will be available, and you are also welcome to bring in your own food.

Is there something I should read before the workshop?
When you take any Unicom Scrum certification class, you will receive a bound copy of Handout. This handout is a field guide to the real-world application of scrum. We recommend you prepare for the workshop by going through the recommended readings available online.

I'm an introvert who is not so big on the whole audience participation thing. Will this class make me uncomfortable?
Participation in any physical exercise is of course optional--in fact the role of "observer" is quite valuable, so feel free to participate at your ability and comfort levels. Remember, it's the software industry, so you won't be the only introvert in the room.

Do you offer a guarantee?
We guarantee our services unconditionally. If you aren't satisfied, we aren't either, and we'll work with you to make it right, up to and including your money back.

What if I have more questions?
Feel free to email us at contact@unicomlearning.com
