All CSM courses are taught by Certified Scrum Trainers. Taking a CSM course, passing the CSM test, and accepting the license agreement designates you as a Certified ScrumMaster, which indicates that you have been introduced to and understand the basic concepts you need to perform as a ScrumMaster or team member on a Scrum team. This course also satisfies two elements of the CSD track: Scrum Introduction and Elective.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Class gives you all the tools and information you need to effectively apply Agile Scrum principles to your project. Each student who successfully completes this two-day training will be acknowledged by the Scrum Alliance as a Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
The primary mechanism for the training is experience. Teams of students work together as Scrum teams to explore the mechanisms of Scrum through their experience. Simulation exercises are held through out the two-day training that are designed to allow students to learn specific aspects of Scrum. There is little Power Point in these trainings!
Students are not expected to have any knowledge of Scrum prior to the training. They will be asked to read a short paper about Scrum prior to the training.
