Certified ScrumMaster -- with Enterprise Scrum

All CSM courses are taught by Certified Scrum Trainers. Taking a CSM course, passing the CSM test, and accepting the license agreement designates you as a Certified ScrumMaster, which indicates that you have been introduced to and understand the basic concepts you need to perform as a ScrumMaster or team member on a Scrum team. This course also satisfies two elements of the CSD track: Scrum Introduction and Elective.



 

Executive Summary

This two-day highly interactive special Certified ScrumMaster class not only teaches in-depth Scrum fundamentals but introduces the students to many aspects of Enteprise Scrum -- the practice of Scrum in medium to large companies with distributed environments. The class includes many exercises and games that will allow the students to not only know the Scrum practices and patterns, but to actually practice them hand-on and get a feel for the attitudes and values.

All of the levels including the personal -- what a single team member does, the tactical -- the day-to-day Sprint activities, the strategic -- how the overall project lines up with the specific line of business, and the enterprise level -- how multiple projects are managed in an enterprise, are discussed in detail.

Participants gain practical experience working with Scrum practices, patterns and artifacts such as the Product Backlog, Release Planning Meeting, Sprint Planning Meeting, Sprint Backlog, Daily Scrums, Sprint Review Meeting, Retrospective and Burndown Charts. Participants leave knowing how to apply Scrum to all sizes of projects, from a single collocated team to a large, highly distributed team.

Following successful completion of the course, you will be qualified and ready to pass the new Scrum Alliance certification test. This multiple-choice, online test is required to become a Certified ScrumMaster, which includes a one-year membership in the Scrum Alliance, where additional ScrumMaster-only material and information are available. Course Instructor – Mike Beedle

Mike Beedle is one of the first Scrum adopters with experience practicing Scrum since 1996 in a variety of business environments. Mike and his companies have introduced Scrum to thousands of people and hundreds of companies, providing training, consulting, mentoring, coaching and hands-on consultants, developers and Scrum Masters to the industry. Mike teaches his CSM courses with an emphasis on Enterprise Scrum.

Mike Beedle is the co-author of the first Scrum book, Agile Software Development with Scrum, the co-author of the first Scrum paper published in a book, a co-author of the Agile Manifesto, the co-author of the upcoming Scrum Pattern Language book and the author of the upcoming book Enterprise Scrum. He is also a participant of very many Agile and Scrum conferences world-wide every year typically in the form or workshop organizer or keynote speaker.

Mike Beedle teaches, mentors and coaches Scrum practitioners and teams typically in enterprise environments, where there might be several teams working in a project at once.
