Certified ScrumMaster

Certified ScrumMaster (Invitation-Only)

All CSM courses are taught by Certified Scrum Trainers. Taking a CSM course, passing the CSM test, and accepting the license agreement designates you as a Certified ScrumMaster, which indicates that you have been introduced to and understand the basic concepts you need to perform as a ScrumMaster or team member on a Scrum team. This course also satisfies two elements of the CSD track: Scrum Introduction and Elective.

** This is an invitation-only session. Please contact the instructor directly to register. **

Today’s projects need more effective techniques and approaches to succeed. The modern competitive market requires that organizations deliver early and often, rather than perform to plan. In order to deliver more aggressively, projects need to create the right ingredients for a high-performing project team. The Agile movement within Project Management seeks to equip project teams with those very techniques.

Scrum is the most popular and most prevalent of the Agile project management methods. This class will cover the 10 simple components of the Scrum framework, and the key different between traditional and modern management practices. Students will have a holistic learning experience, through an engaging combination of group conversation, interactive exercises, and dynamic presentations.

By taking this class, students will acquire sufficient awareness of Agile and Scrum techniques to begin a more detailed adoption of those techniques. In addition, students completing the class will qualify for the Certified ScrumMaster exam.
