LitheSpeed Product Owner Training - David Bulkin

    David

This two-day Certified Scrum Product Owner certification course provides the jumping off point for you to take on, or improve at, the hardest role in Scrum, being a Product Owner. Being an effective Product Owner is difficult, but, if executed well, it can be incredibly rewarding as speed to market and value will grow substantially. On completion of the course you are registered as a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) with a two year membership in the Scrum Alliance (www.scrumalliance.org) where valuable materials and information are available exclusively to CSPOs.

You will learn the essential concepts and tools of Scrum, understanding how the Product Owner role operates within the context of product management and the Product Manager role, and how to interact with the development team. At the strategic level, you will learn how to articulate a clear vision with measurable business objectives, create forward looking release plans that sequence features to market to maximize ROI within the context of the product plans. At the tactical level, you will learn how to effectively groom the product backlog, execute releases planning sessions, and track and report progress.

This course is taught by leading agile practitioners with decades of real-world industry experience at companies ranging from small businesses to the Fortune 100. Exercises, demonstrations, facilitated discussions, case studies, tool and template examples and more are interwoven throughout to illustrate the principles being taught in a comprehensive fashion interactively tailored to the class’s needs, based on real world experience, not ivory-tower theory.

      Testimonials

     Training Testimonial

We hired David to assist our product managers and business analysts with Scrum, specifically in the role of product owner. Our team had been given basic scrum training but no real training in the role of the product owner and the importance of it.

David was an excellent agile trainer. He brought a wealth of agile experience and knowledge to our class.

He shared a very good overview of the agile process, but then focused on the product owner role. He took our real world projects and assisted us in getting them into the scrum process, especially in the area of user stories.

With David’s training our team now understands what their role is in the scrum process. They are also using tools and tips they received from David to assist them in their scrum teams.

I recommend David as an agile instructor.

David recently delivered a series of trainings. The feedback from the whole team was overwhelmingly positive and he has left the team excited about applying what they have learned. His training style is highly effective, combining useful exercises, personal anecdotes and a deep and demonstrable understanding of subject matter. I have no hesitation in recommending David for Executive, CSM or CSPO training.

Our company hired David for three days of Scrum/Agile training. Even before the training began, I knew we had chosen the right person for the job. I had numerous discussions with David in advance, so that he could tailor his training to our specific environment and needs. The training he provided was informative, fun, and kept everyone wanting more! David's passion and dedication to providing exceptional training were evident throughout every minute of the training, and we can definitely attribute our success in Agile to the training we received from him!

My company hired David for a 3 day Agile training session. He is very friendly, intelligent and an exciting speaker. If you want no-nonsense, highly relevant Agile training then David is the right choice. He brings a fresh perspective and isn't afraid to point out the "intellectual hand waving" that is sometimes present with Agile development methodologies.
