As a Scrum Product Owner, you are on a first-name basis with your users, have mapped their requirements thoroughly, and know that map like the back of your hand. You know the risk and business value in each user story, and are able to effortlessly assemble a backlog the team can implement. You are always available to the team, and constantly meeting with your users, customers, sponsors, and other stakeholders. No problem!
This two-day experiential workshop with Scrum co-founder Jeff McKenna and Agile Learning Labs' Chris Sims will equip you with tools to tackle the formidable but rewarding role of Product Owner. You’ll gain real practice in class through hands-on exercises, project simulations and live demonstrations. Our goal is that you leave class with a sense that you’ve not only grasped the concepts, but that you’ve now “done” it.
Completion of the course leads to Scrum Product Owner certification through the Scrum Alliance, and is worth 14 PDUs from the Project Management Institute.
This class comes complete with 2 hours of follow-up coaching. This is two hours that you get to use any way you see fit (note: uses that violate the Geneva Convention or international treaties are prohibited). We'll also be organizing a "class reunion" at a local pub, so you can check in and compare notes about how you've adapted what you learned out in the world.
Though each CSPO course varies depending on the instructor, all Certified Scrum Product Owner courses focus on Scrum from a product owner's perspective. Graduates will receive the CSPO designation. All CSPO course are taught by Certified Scrum Trainers.
