This course is a two-day Certified Scrum Master Training with two trainers facilitating.

In our interactive and hands on Scrum Master Certification course, you will learn the Scrum framework, how to apply Scrum to your projects, and how to navigate the cultural changes necessary to implement Scrum. During the three day course, taught by a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST™), you will earn 14 PDUs and become a Certified Scrum Master through the Scrum Alliance.

In this course, participants will learn how to start executing along with everything necessary for getting started with Scrum. There are very few rules to Scrum so it is important to learn its fundamental principles by experiencing them directly from those who have implemented the best Scrums in the software industry.  Participants gain hands-on practice with the release backlog, sprint backlog, the daily Scrum meeting, tracking progress with a burndown charts, Scrum boards, and more. Participants experience the Scrum process through a series of hands on exercises, ranging from Visioning through to Sprint Planning.

Through a combination of immersive team-based learning, exercises, and real-world case studies, you will learn:

    • To plan, initiate and lead a Scrum project
    • To establish a shared vision for the entire team
    • To generate an Agile release plan utilizing user stories and story point estimation
    • To lead your Scrum team through planning, review, and retrospective sessions
    • To create an environment in which self-managing teams can flourish
    • To identify and remove impediments
    • To identify, engage and involve business stakeholders in your project
    • How to take most existing teams to the next level
    • Practical suggestions from the school of hard knocks

Scrum Master training provides an applied understanding of the Scrum process and helps participants begin to develop the tools, insights, and skills requried to apply Scrum on their projects and across their organizations.

    About your Trainers:

Catherine Louis is a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST™) with over 20 years of hands-on complex product development experience (including both software and hardware) which allows her to go well beyond delivering a course of just Scrum in theory. The additional 3rd day workshop enables teams through Release Planning.  You can read more about her here:  http://www.cll-group.com/our-company

Along with Catherine, Christine Hegarty of Scruminc.com will be co-faciliating. Christine has tons of hands-on experience as an enterprise-level, and team-level Agile coach, and brings to the training a wonderful hands-on "team-first" experience.

    Additional Information:

The course will typically run from 8:30am-5:00pm each day. A continental breakfast, breaks and lunch will be provided.

Following the course, each participant is enrolled as a Certified ScrumMaster, which includes a one-year membership in the Scrum Alliance, where additional ScrumMaster-only material and information are available.

PMPs: You can receive 14 Professional Development Units (PDUs) for this course.

Discounts are offered for corporations sending team members, please contact me for discount codes.

    After the Scrum Training Workshop:

After taking the 2-day Certified ScrumMaster course, students are eligible to take the Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Assessment Exam through the Scrum Alliance. It has 35 questions and no time limit in which to complete. Candidates may bookmark questions, change answers to questions, and even stop the exam, returning to it to complete the questions at a later time within the 90-day period.  For more information, please visit the Scrum Alliance directly at: http:/scrumalliance.org

If you need PDU's for the PMI or other continuing education credits, we'll work with you to make sure you get them applied appropriately (usually good for 14 PDUs).

Over time, we will keep in touch.  I'll give you advice along the way and you'll have access to me after the training is completed. You will have access to both of us (Catherine and Christine) after the training - we want you to succeed!

If you have any questions about this, please contact Catherine here: cll at cll dash group dot com.

Thank you and Happy New Year!!

Note: if the Scrum Alliance "register now" button is still undergoing technical difficulty, please feel free to register here: http://csminrtp.eventbrite.com

All CSM courses are taught by Certified Scrum Trainers. Taking a CSM course, passing the CSM test, and accepting the license agreement designates you as a Certified ScrumMaster, which indicates that you have been introduced to and understand the basic concepts you need to perform as a ScrumMaster or team member on a Scrum team. This course also satisfies two elements of the CSD track: Scrum Introduction and Elective.
