Certified ScrumMaster Course – Special Global Edition

SolutionsIQ is offering a unique training opportunity to gain professional certification with an international perspective. Certified Scrum Trainer and author Bas Vodde, visiting from China, will be co-teaching this course in this distinctive collaboration with Chris Sterling, Certified Scrum Trainer and Agile Coach for SolutionsIQ. Vodde, originally from Holland, has lived in Finland and now owns a consulting company, Odd-e, based in Singapore. Vodde is known for his work with Nokia, where Scrum is used on more than one hundred teams, and for his expertise in managing distributed teams and overseeing multiple large projects in Asia. Sterling has over thirteen years of experience in software development and consulting, working with multi-national clients as an Agile Coach and Enterprise Architect across a spectrum of industries. This course will address special interest topics, such as handling time zones, language barriers, and other communication issues across multi-cultural development teams.

This two-day ScrumMaster certification course provides everything you need to get started with Scrum and Agile.  One of the largest and fastest-growing agile project management methodologies, Scrum is a simple software management technique that has a small set of interrelated practices and rules, in not overly prescriptive and is able to produce productivity gains for software development teams almost immediately.

Delivered by SolutionsIQ Agile thought leaders, this course shares time-tested practices for managing product backlogs, planning your releases and iterations (Sprints) and tracking and reporting progress. You'll learn how to plan and run Sprint Planning Meetings, daily Scrum Meetings, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives and more!

On completion, participants are registered as Certified ScrumMasters (CSMs), which includes a one-year membership in the Scrum Alliance, (www.scrumalliance.org) where valuable ScrumMaster-material and information are available exclusively to CSMs.

All CSM courses are taught by Certified Scrum Trainers. Taking a CSM course, passing the CSM test, and accepting the license agreement designates you as a Certified ScrumMaster, which indicates that you have been introduced to and understand the basic concepts you need to perform as a ScrumMaster or team member on a Scrum team. This course also satisfies two elements of the CSD track: Scrum Introduction and Elective.
