    Date: 30 September - 1 October, 2011
    Location: Anaheim, CA, United States

    Regular Price: $600

Standard Certified ScrumMaster training, but on a Friday and Saturday and delivered as a give-back. All the money raised will be used for Kiva applicants we'll choose as a class and for a technology incubator in the lean start-up manner. We have raised thousands for several charities and connected attendees with services opportunities.

Friday and Saturday, 9 AM - 5 PM. Graciously hosted by Vineyard Christian Fellowship, 5340 E. La Palma, Anaheim, CA.

FREE SHOES! If you buy a pair of Tom's shoes between now and the class, bring the receipt (and wear the shoes!) and I will refund you the difference! http://www.toms.com/

    How it works:

Register via the blue button to the right, and select whether it is the standard class ($600) or if you work for a nonprofit, which requires a $50 fee, which is the Scrum Alliance fee for membership and certification, plus $15 for materials.

    • If you work for a non-profit, that's all that is expected. I will ask for proof of employment with a nonprofit. This class is to gift to you for the work you do.
    • If you are currently employed, you will have the opportunity to vote for charities that will be presented at the training. That is you paying it forward to benefit others.
    • If you are unemployed or in transition,
      • your agency or group working with you will refer you. I am unable to work individually with these requests as I don't have time to verify unemployment. This, unfortunately, has been taken advantage of in the past by people claiming to be out of work, but who were actually non-fulltime employees by choice (contractors or entrepreneurs), and their seats could have gone to people who would have been helped by the class in finding full-time employment.

Once the class is full, I will email all the registrants with additional details and information.

    About the Trainer

Scott is a Certified Scrum Trainer and PMP who lives in Orange County and has helped over a dozen companies in the So Cal area, and trained many teams across the US and in Canada. He is also the founder of the Orange County APLN and speaker at local conferences and this year's RallyON, Seattle Scrum Gathering, and Agile 2011 conferences.

All CSM courses are taught by Certified Scrum Trainers. Taking a CSM course, passing the CSM test, and accepting the license agreement designates you as a Certified ScrumMaster, which indicates that you have been introduced to and understand the basic concepts you need to perform as a ScrumMaster or team member on a Scrum team. This course also satisfies two elements of the CSD track: Scrum Introduction and Elective.
