Given my strong belief that 80% of the value Scrum and Agile are dependent on understanding the new values and mindset behind Agile development, we start with a strong look at what Agile really is, why it works and where it should be used. On that foundation, we look in detail how Scrum framework enables the usage of Agility in your project, product or organization. We will take a hard look at the Scrum roles.

On the second day we will run a thorough simulation of a project kick-off using Scrum (and supplemented with some good, proven-in-real-life techniques and prioritization tools), to give you practical, hands-on tools to deploy to your project.  All levels of Scrum and Agile planning (vision, release, sprint and daily levels) are explored to give you a good overview of how you can create appropriately detailed, effective plans for managing and leading the work in a Scrum team.

The course is a combination of group work, pair work, real life examples, exercises and simulations, with a bit of more lecture style stuff thrown in between the exercises, aimed at helping you learn as much as you can about Scrum and Agile in two days.

Successful participation on the course will make you a Certified ScrumMaster (once you've also completed the test on Scrum Alliance site, too).

All CSM courses are taught by Certified Scrum Trainers. Taking a CSM course, passing the CSM test, and accepting the license agreement designates you as a Certified ScrumMaster, which indicates that you have been introduced to and understand the basic concepts you need to perform as a ScrumMaster or team member on a Scrum team. This course also satisfies two elements of the CSD track: Scrum Introduction and Elective.
