Lead Systems Engineer and Fort Worth Site Lead for the F-35 Battle Space Environment Verification Simulator. Responsible for all requirements, design, development, integration, and verification activities. Created and evangelized a transition plan to migrate the team from a traditional incremental development lifecycle to agile Scrum methodology, which emphasized on-going customer involvement and team accountability. Managed the process migration, which included: increasing the size of the team to 50 people located in four states, arranging for facilities and infrastructure, and providing training to all personnel; and brought the team to be fully functional and productive. Using Scrum, productivity increased by more than 50%, while customer satisfaction improved immensely.
Trained and mentored the F-22 Raptor’s Air Combat Simulation integration team as they transitioned to the agile Scrum methodology.
Consulted on two large proposals being developed in another business unit where agile development methodologies were required.
Have been a keynote speaker at several industry symposia on the implementation of agile development processes and transitioning large organizations from waterfall to agile methodologies.
