With more than 30 years in design, programming and development experience, Tom has architected and created several large scale enterprise solutions, including taking legacy applications to the web and advanced B2B (Business to Business) integrations as well as applications for military and government use.
Tom has been an early adopter of Microsoft’s .NET technology and is considered an industry leader. He is the co-author of OOP: Building Reusable Components with VB NET by Microsoft Press. He has also been speaking at international conferences such as VS Connections, VB Connections and DevTeach, about the correct use of the .NET platform and advanced programming techniques such as N-Tiered application layers and advanced OOP (Object oriented programming). Microsoft honored Tom with the prestigious MVP (Most Valuable Professional) award for VB .NET in 2004 and 2005.
Tom is currently in the process of architecting, designing and leading several large scale Enterprise solutions with VS 2005 / VS 2008, enhanced web service techniques, SOA based principles and high volume transactional databases for the background screening and securities industry.
Tom has been an early adopter of agile project management, extreme programming and test driven development and enjoys pushing the envelope and the cutting (somtimes bleeding edge) in IT.
