I am a software development consultant whose areas of expertise include object-oriented analysis, modeling and design (OOA/OOD), service-oriented architecture (SOA), and agile software development methods, in predominantly J2EE environments. In addition to extensive Scrum experience, I am also an expert Peter Coad's much-underated 'modeling in color' technique and Feature-Driven Development (FDD).
I started my career as a C and FORTRAN developer working on several multi-million dollar industrial monitoring and control projects in the UK. I then spent six years working on large business process automation projects in Singapore using Oracle, C++, and Java.
For ten eight years after returning to the UK from Singapore, I worked as a software development consultant, independently, for TogetherSoft, and, most recently, for Borland. This has included significant periods of work at clients like Getronics, British Telecom, and HM Customs & Excise.
Currently I work for Nebulon, USA and have just completed 15 months as the development lead on an ambitious .Net project for a large, commercial insurance company.
