Steve Ostermiller is currently Scrum Master and Agile Coach for a variety of social and news media software development teams that produce some of the fastest growing and highest traffic generating news sites in the country, including KSL.com, DeseretNews.com and ok.com.
As technology moves and changes more quickly, somehow Steve finds it enjoyable and interesting to minimize organizational chaos (that results from such growth), even if only temporarily, so that organizations can focus and execute. Agile strategies are what enable him to do it.
Steve has managed technology products and implemented process and organizational change for the past fifteen years. As Product Owner, he's influenced user growth at rates of up to 400%. As Scrum Master, he has also helped teams double, triple and even quadruple their velocity. Perhaps just as exciting, he has also been a video producer, gymnastics coach, foreign language teacher, grocery produce manager and interpreter.
Steve received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management/Organizational Behavior from Brigham Young University, and also holds the following certifications: Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
