Biography

Steven Brier is a proven marketing professional experience in marketing, advertising, branding and marketing communications. Steven has worked effectively in various industries including technology, telecommunications, public utilities and hospitality. Steven has been responsible for many aspects of marketing communications including managing staff, building international brands, developing integrated marketing programs and managing multi-million dollar budgets. In recent years, he has been responsible for developing strategy, technical project management and execution of a global, enterprise-wide Digital Asset Management system (DAM) and the corporate marketing automation and brand voice activation web portal. The portal also includes a complete workflow to activate Marriott Rewards property offers throughout all marketing channels. Steven holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University.

Key Accomplishment: Developed the concept of, secured funding for, oversaw development of and currently manage and grow BrandWorks, Marriott International’s first online global brand voice activation and marketing automation portal.  Led a cross-functional team and directed the agency of record to develop all marketing communications to reposition this former intergovernmental organization to a be a competitive, private company.  Developed and implemented direct response campaigns to support revenue generation.  Developed and implemented international product advertising and new product introduction campaigns resulting in increased awareness, brand equity and sales inquiries.  Responsible for brand development of "IZON," a joint venture between Intelsat and TV New Zealand. Key Accomplishment: Created the first marketing communications and direct response program for this former NGO, further repositioning it to be a marketing-oriented company.
