Biography

Stephen C. Daukas Strong strategic thinker, innovative leader & recovering engineer with a love for teaching who is able to collaborate & team build with a track record of getting things done. I have experience creating departments & managing budgets up to $1M, but prefer to work with cross-functional agile teams & be involved with the definition & delivery of product using Scrum, as well as process improvement. I've had project responsibilities up to $10M over 3 years, as well as international PM experience (Canada, UK), in the high-tech sector. My past development experience includes UNIX, Windows, DOS & Mac platforms, and numerous languages & technologies (3GL, OO, database, drivers, microcode/firmware, little languages, etc.). I have academic experience in Software & Physical Sciences (Geosciences, Physics, Chemistry) including development/delivery of curriculum, and have created specialized facilities including lecture facilities & research resource labs (medical, high-speed computation, etc.).

Responsible for the successful execution of all aspects of University-wide (all 6 campuses) technology-based initiatives, leveraging PMI and Agile project management practices, internal & external coaching, etc. Collaborate with other University Institutes and provided coaching in support of creating a PMO Center of Excellence. Created and teach semester-long Agile course covering the manifesto, guiding principles, Kanban, Crystal, XP, FDD, DSDM, deep dive on Scrum (master and product owner), Open Space, Innovation/Agile games, etc. PM/CSM/PO for various projects (IdM/IAM, password manager, Social/Mobile, etc.)
