Biography

Sunni K Brock has been involved in digital creations since the late 1980s. She has consulted for Microsoft, Adobe, and Sonic Solutions. She has written nearly a thousand technical articles, created multi-media training, and developed numerous software tools. She is also a field expert in intelligent algorithms and language analysis.
In 1988, she joined Microsoft as an intern in answering support calls for Microsoft Word for DOS. She became an FTE in 1989 and shortly after helped start the Product Support Services Lab where she was the "Printer Goddess"  and multimedia/Internet expert for several years.
In the mid-90's, she made the transition to Program Management in the Product Improvement group. She lead the Windows and Internet Explorer product improvement efforts by using support data to drive product enhancements and innovations. Soon after, she joined the Windows Product group and drove the adoption of Error Reporting in Windows XP. During planning stages of Vista, she drove research efforts in data and text mining to integrate with embedded customer feedback efforts in Windows.
After meeting the love of her life, moving to Los Angeles and retiring from Microsoft, she briefly worked at a information retrieval startup (The Brain) and Sonic Solutions.
In 2006, she relocated with her husband to Vancouver, WA and then took on various vendor roles at Microsoft as Scrum Master and Product Owner. She also delivered over two dozen IT Pro training courses and developed materials and demos for Microsoft TechNet and MSDN.
In spite of her strong background in Computer Science, she’s not just a geek: Sunni is also a published poet, writer, and talented vegetarian cook. If she had spare time, she would spend it working with genealogy, doing crafts, shopping at the farmer’s market, and conducting experiments on controlled randomness.
As one-half of the team of JaSunni Productions, LLC, her main functions are editor and sound technician, in addition to consulting. She is also a guiding force behind the company’s vision and direction along with her husband, Jason V Brock. She enjoys spending her days working alongside Jason, tending to their pet reptiles, and aggravating friends on Facebook.
