Biography

Ron Perich is a current member of the Information Technology Employee Rotation Program at Boeing in his third rotation. His current assignment is with Training Systems and Services IT in a project management role.

His last rotation was as a special project coordinator for the Chief of Staff of IT Business Systems. He supported a number of activities around proper project management activities.

The first rotation was with the Global Strike Systems (GSS) IT group. His work involved the use of a number of different technologies to support the GSS business partners. He used a number of different programming languages including Java Swing, J2EE, ANT, and Microsoft SQL Server. His work in GSS was done using Agile process management techniques. He was a ScrumMaster for the team which used daily Scrums, two-week Sprints, Sprint retrospectives, and VersionOne ALM to organize and track the team's activities, stories, and tasks. He has also mentored several Agile teams within Boeing to help them get started with their Scrum journey.

Previously, Ron worked in the Global Services & Support (GS&S) IT team. His most recent position was in support of the Integrated Materials & Information Management (IMIM) project as the lead of their infrastructure team. Prior to IMIM, Ron worked with the Sustainment Data System (SDS) team as the lead of its Customer Engagement team, the lead of its Optimization Team, the Lead of the Support Management Web module, and as a J2EE developer.

Ron is also a faculty member at the University of Phoenix in St. Louis where he facilitates courses in Business Information Systems.

Ron lives in Illinois with his wife and son. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a double BA in Speech Communications and Political Science and from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale with an MS in Computer Science. In his free time he enjoys playing with his son, enjoys a good round of golf (even if he shoots poorly), and is involved with a number of charitable organizations.
