Rick Lacher is a Chief Process Architect and an experienced Lean Agile Master Coach for CC Pace, based in Fairfax, VA. He has worked with both private and public sector organizations of all sizes transforming their standard practices into high performing Lean-Agile processes. During his career, Rick has provided services for organizations such as Aetna Life and Casualty, Bellsouth Telecommunications, British Telecommunications, Capital One, Delta Airlines, Napa Auto Parts, SunTrust Bank, IBM, Time Warner, UPS and USAA. He has established PMO portfolio practices, Lean Solution Delivery practices and Performance Measurement practices for these and other Fortune 500 organizations.
Rick is a Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB). Rick’s projects have had proven increases in team capacity of 147%, throughput of 150% and more than doubling of the team’s process cycle efficiency. He is an expert on IT best practices including phased, RAD, Iterative, RUP, ASAP, XP, and Scrum. He has customized numerous IT organizations’ methodologies.
Rick is active in the Project Management and Agile Communities providing lectures, seminars, and webinars; in addition, to providing both public and private training to hundreds each year in Agile, Scrum and Product Owner courses. He has recently provided two Lean Agile lectures at the PMI Global Congress Conference, and has authored several courses in Agile, Scrum, Project Management and Lean. Rick holds a BA in Economics and a Minor in Math from the University of Southern Connecticut and advanced studies in Lean Six Sigma programs at the Georgia Institute of Technology’s School of Management.
