Biography

Rose Keller is employed by the State of Minnesota for more than 30 years.  Public Safety - planned for nuclear war (it was the 70's), licensed car dealers and investigated complaints, assisted the director of the Office of Pipeline Safety with budgeting, legislative, and information systems (provided crisis management during a gas pipeline explosion incident)Transportation - drafted highway plans, managed the public transit grant process, and created a video presentation shown to legislators to gain support for public transit.Finance - worked on a team to established an accounts receivable collection process for all state agencies to utilizeHuman Services - managed accounting staff, reduced an 18-month backlog of health care claim adjustments, reduced a five-year backlog of provider enrollment system change requests, led Y2K testing efforts for the managed care system, provided guidance to managers regarding contracting processes, and managed systems projects.As a single parent of three children, I was able to work full-time, earn my BS degree in Business Administration in 2000, become certified as a PMP in 2005 and receive my ScrumMaster certification in 2008.  I plan to become a Master Gardener in 2009. I received a Governor's Commendation for creating a weather information network.  I was a finalist for Outstanding Student of my college graduation class.  I received a national award as an editor of a nonprofit newsletter.
