I’m currently a Digital Project Manager within the Interactive Services team at the Central Office of Information (COI). The COI is the Government’s centre of excellence for marketing and communications. Since joining the team in August 2009 I’ve been working for two main clients to date; projects with the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) and the Cabinet Office delivering creative online solutions across government. The most prominent of these has been project managing the design, build and launch ofdata.gov.uk.
Prior to joining COI I worked for five years within the Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA) as a project manager within the Initial Teacher Training sector. This work aimed to contribute to raising the quality of teacher training by providing online access to quality assured materials based on research & evidence. Involved in a number of high profile sector initiatives I managed the launch and ongoing development of the Teacher Training Resource Bank (www.ttrb.ac.uk), which was nominated for an e-government award in 2008.
I have worked closely with the Private sector and in particular collaborated with Microsoft to develop the Educational Evidence Portal (www.eep.ac.uk) and launch an innovative E-librarian service to tutors and trainees.
I’m used to working with a wide range of stakeholders across government and with private sector development agencies I am interested in social media and all things digital.
