Having lead both infrastructure and development teams over the last 15 years I have managed to gain a unusually detailed and broad experience across most of Microsoft’s back and front-end stack. My ability to step back, understand and communicate the complete IT picture (business and financial) has allowed me to influence and set strategic direction. Also to architect, design and deliver innovative solutions using bespoke developments and off-the-shelf packages that advance and create value for the business. I enjoy the challenge of gathering requirements, understanding, designing and communicating elegant and cutting edge solutions. Then building teams and implementing the development of projects. I have been lucky enough to be involved in many very interesting cutting edge and multi-award winning projects (see MaRS® programme). I also ensure that I remain active, programming regularly with the latest technologies such as Visual Studio 2010, .Net 4, Silverlight, WPF, MVVM, SQL Spatia
