Noopur Davis is a Principal of Davis Systems, a process improvement consulting firm that helps develop high performance software teams. She is also a Visiting Scientist at the Software Engineering Institute, Carnegie Mellon University. She has coached and trained dozens of executives, managers, and teams using Scrum and the Team Software Process (TSP) at organizations such as Microsoft, Intuit, Adobe, Hewlett Packard, ABB, Lockheed Martin, and Xerox. Noopur has been involved in the software field for over twenty years as a developer, manager of multi-national distributed software teams, and as a consultant. Her prior jobs include Senior Member of Technical Staff at Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute, Director of Engineering at Intergraph Corporation, and Senior Systems Analyst at Chrysler Corporation.
Noopur is the author of numerous articles on team processes, and is a frequent speaker at conferences across the US, Europe, and Asia. She worked with Watts Humphrey at the SEI Team Software Process Initiative for five years. She is a Certified ScrumMaster, Scrum Practioner and Scrum Product Owner, and has completed the Scrum Developer training. She is also an SEI-Authorized TSP Coach and PSP Instructor. She has been a member of various program committees such as SEPG 1999, Agile/XP Universe 2003, International Symposium on Secure Software Engineering (ISSSE) 2006, Workshop on Secure Software Engineering Education & Training (WSSEET 2006), and Agile 2007. She is a member of IEEE Working Group for Draft Recommended Practices for Establishing and Managing Software Development Efforts Using Agile Methods, and member of the DHS National Cyber Security Taskforce. She holds a Masters in Computer Science and a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering.
