Biography

Monica Yap is skilled at training and coaching teams to adopt Agile methodologies, such as Scrum, and Extreme Programming technical practices, including Test Driven Development, Refactoring, Continuous Integration, Pair Programming, and how to utilize emergent architecture and design techniques.  

She has over 20 years of software development industry experience, and she has 10 years of experience leading agile teams and providing quality products using Scrum with Extreme Programming methods.  She coached teams both in collocated and distributed environments. 

She regularly present at conferences on various Agile related topics, including Agile2005, Agile2006, Agile2007, and Agile2008, Agile Development Practices West, Scrum Gatherings.  She also an active organizer in building local Agile communities, such as Agile Open Northwest, Silicon Valley Agile Leadership Network.
