Monique Wilson gets the job done. Why, because she’s been there and has done that and she has the wit and wisdom to prove it. As the founder and President of Wilson & Associates, Inc., Monique is an exceptional project manager. Her giftedness has been noted by her stellar work record most recently as IT Project Manager at MedSolutions. Monique knows how to make things happen because she is flexible. During her tenure at MedSolutions she has been a change facilitator by helping to implement Scrum within the Premerus business. She knows “the cheese” has moved and she didn’t have to read the book, she lives it.
She also knows that “The World is Flat” (an interesting book by Thomas Friedman). In her role as Project Manager for the Warranty Adjustment Latin American team at Bridgestone, she directed global project teams for a successful project implementation in six Latin-American countries. Monique has always worked with diverse project teams. Because of her project management expertise, she helped Bridgestone incorporate new project management processes that resulted in fewer failed projects throughout the Information Technology infrastructure.
As if working full-time in corporate America didn’t keep her busy enough, this dynamic leader served as a Missionary Advisor during a mission trip to Costa Rica with a team of 20 teenage missionaries. Tell me, she can’t manage a team. How many people would volunteer to take care of one, let alone twenty teenagers in another country?
Monique has also served as an officer of the Bridgestone Toastmasters club and was certified by Toastmasters International as a Competent Communicator. That’s code for this consummate professional spent many hours learning how to speak and present by voluntarily improving her craft. Monique has also dedicated her time to several youth organizations and Junior Achievement.
Ms. Wilson is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute. She also holds the ITIL Practitioners Certification in Combined Change, Configuration and Release Management. A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), where she earned her Master of Science in Accounting / Computer Information Systems, Ms. Wilson also holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems from MTSU. The bottom line is Ms. Wilson has the experience, the integrity, the energy and the excitement to see a project through to completion professionally, personally and purposefully.
