Marianne Phinney began as an assistant professor of applied linguistics and ESL. She wrote a textbook on writing with computers (back in the day). After moving into software development with a company developing an ESL grammar checker, she became a project manager and has been involved with software/IT project and portfolio management ever since. She has worked with agile and lean teams for several years. She also is heavily involved with theater production as a director, actor, and reviewer for Eastern Massachusetts Association of Community Theatres and the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild (METG).
