I'm a CSM and CSP who has been using Scrum and coaching Scrum users for several years. I have seventeen years experience in software development, testing, project management and process improvement. Right now, I'm leading the Software Engineering Process Development team at Research In Motion. We use Scrum to manage all of our own work, and my team also develops and delivers training and coaching for teams deploying Scrum at RIM. We've coached over 1000 people to successful Scrum deployments.
My particular areas of interest are around scaling Scrum in large organizations, how to effectively use Scrum outside of software development, and how to integrate Scrum with standards such as ISO 9000 and models like the CMMI. As a candidate SEI SCAMPI lead appraiser, I've spent a lot of time thinking about how Scrum and the CMMI can work happily together.
I'm pursuing a CST, and would therefore be interested in starting discussions with any existing CSTs who would be willing to help me through the process.
